Pg. 15 Cole thought installing fear into someone is the only way to trust them. That is never the case. Installing fear into someone will make them more than willing to betray and abandon you.
Chapter 2 “I wish I could trade places with peter, I really do.” I chose this because he lied to them just to get them to think that he was actually sorry for what he had done to Peter.
“I’m not afraid of dying” Cole boasted. Edwin smiled slightly. “If death stares you straight in the face, believe me, son, you’ll get scared. This foreshadowing quote tells me that Edwin knows that the spirit bear will do something to Cole. I think that the spirit bear will teach Cole a lesson.
Your predictions were correct. Cole has finally got his kamuffins. Good quote, I think it just shows how much Cole is evolving from his arrogant demeanor.

"I'm not afraid of dying" -Cole Chapter 2 pg 17 Cole saying this surprises me. At first I thought Cole was actually really emotional on the inside and not as tough and scary, but he actually doesn't seem to like life.
"This cake sucks!" Cole shouted, "and so does my life!" pg 30 Cole didn't like the cake and hates his life right now because things aren't going his way.
"If you stares you straight in the face, believe me, son, you'll get scared" Cole was saying he's not afraid to die but Edwin said something to him about death and being afraid. But I don't think Cole cared about what he had to say and what would Cole think if death looked him straight in the face maybe Scared, mad, sad, regretful

In this scene Garvey is talking to Cole about circle juctice and Cole says so are you gonna help me then Garvey says i'll help you but dont waste my time you understand I dont have time for losers.
